Bonze Adventure is an platform game from Taito
The Story: Emma-O, the King of the Underworld, has gone insane and now his
domain is in chaos. As the high priest, Bonze Kackremboh, your mission is to
free King Emma-O from the evil spirit and destroy his followers.
The Player controls the Japanese monk. His weapons are prayer beads that
he fires at the demons and monsters from Hell to defeat them. The bead
bubbles can be powered up until they become almost as large as the player.
The monk battles snakes, giant eyeballs, ghosts and other enemy creatures. If
you are touched by your enemies or their bullets, or fall into hazardous areas
(such as water or lava), you will lose a life. If all your candles burn out, you
will also lose a life.
